This is going to be a weird one and probably rule me out of the years style stacks. But in these last few weeks I have found that the dreaded onesies have their uses. They prevent my poor back and adjoining joints getting a cold draught and then going into a spasm.
Based on this fact I now have two of them one that is fleecy and warm and the other with a hood but only cotton. What I am really in need of is one that combines both the fleecy material and a hood. Preferably with a pocket. There was an ideal one on ASOS but by last Wednesday when I got paid it had totally sold out.
So if anyone knows where you can one in a sizes 22 ( I like to be able to wear clothes underneath) and matches these criteria, please please let me know. As long as it isn't that dreaded fair isle design I will love it. To be honest I don't care if I look like a ladybird or even a cute animal. It is out of necessity I ask and would only be worn at home.
Many thanks

Time for the chop
No I haven't turned into french revolutionary or a mass murder, nor am I axing my blog. Instead it was time for the spring chop for my hair. Which I have to admit is normally quiet simple loss the ends and maybe end up bit darker than before,. But it has been a long time since I tried something different. To be honest I have been left disappointed after the first few days with my new cut as it I high maintenance to maintain the salon look and give up.
For some reason every hairdresser I have to been to has always tried to give me style that requires endless hour of straightening irons. If any one bothers to look at me, and my hair that's a lot of daily work as my hair just has to see water and it curls. So this time I tried some where new, well new to me, it has been there for years. With some ideas yesterday I took the brave step and trusted an unknown stylist to work some magic.
I knew I wanted the grey gone, and some two tone look, on a shoulder length cut, but so it looked liked me. and after much work with the colour and an appointment that lasted 3 and 3/4 hours I left £90 poorer and with a hair cut that not only can I live with but seems to be the cut for me. This time when they said book an trim in 6 weeks I am actually looking forward to it.
Whats more the hairdresser refused to take a tip, until I really insisted. She said her reward was to see a person more confident and happy with their cut. That is such an old fashioned value and yet one that is hardly ever heard of now a days. What is more is she respected my hair is curly and there as no sign of the GHDs. There was no force selling of products, instead I had to ask what she would recomend.
This is an all time first that I will actually be looking forward to booking my next hair appointment and not leaving it to the point where I have no choice and have to go.

Post easter thoughts
So whilst most people are left with the empty cartons and post Easter slump brought on from way too much chocolate, I for once can breath a sigh of relief. Not because I didn't celebrate, because we did, there is still lunches including hot cross buns in this house. But for once I don't hae worry the clothes that i owned before Easter won't fit me, because they do, and the reason why is I have yet to gorge myself on the feat of chocolate I was given.
No I am not on some self crusade as much as I am proving a point to myself. That I still have will power. Both hubby and mum have had birthdays over the last week one being on Easter Sunday, so there has been more than enough food around without the need to binge out on additional chocolate. Now whilst everyone else here has half empty bags of eggs I still have all mine to actually enjoy and savour, and most of all ration.
For the gift of Easter was meant to be lasting not binge and regret a week later. Maybe I am trying to go back to the true meaning of Easter and for that matter Xmas as we still have candy left from that. We are living too much in the now and caught up in the material value over what we can get and how much it cost. I have started to put a set limit on gifts to Godchildren, yes I wonder if I am being me, but I put a set limit per child and that's it and it is the same for each one. For the older ones they often get in in cash to put to something they want to have. But that is my rule and I am now sticking to it. The last year of having next to nothing and coming out the other side of it has made me realise money doesn't always make you happy but friendship, love and gifts carefully thought out do.
There will still be a guilt when I eat my eggs that I have the chance to eat this much, but at least I know I will remember that.

Have I missed something?
I don't know if I am the only one, but I thought we were meant to be in spring. According to my recently revamped wardrobe and newly up dated make up it is meant to ! Yet I look outside and I am sure I am in the middle of winter! My skin resembles a lightly frostbitten look, my hands and lips are chapped. What has happened ? Did the UK get towed to the north pole when no one was looking, or has the world slipped on its axis?
I am fed up of reading that the UK is colder than Lapland or the base of Everest. It is purely depressing. Especially when this news is accompanied with the news of farmers losing their livestock under the snow drifts. Granted we in the London area haven't got much to complain about except the freezing temperatures ( made ten times worse if like us your boiler is no longer working). But on top of all the cuts our wonderful government is inflicting us with, it is making the first quarter of 2013 tiresome and exhausting.
To top it off today is my mum's 71st birthday and never in her living memory has she had snow for her birthday. Yet guess what yep we have snow! In April no less. Now I like my winters cold and my summers hot, with spring and autumn being their necessary weather temperatures. But this is a joke I have photo of the area in the last two weeks when I went on a trip to Sussex and as you will see it looks more like Christmas card than the week for Easter.
So whilst my summer skirt has just arrived by courier I am busy painting my nail with snowflakes AGAIN.
