Glosssy box January

Finally I got my membership with Glossy Box to work. I wanted to try this beauty box to compair it to Birchbox, so I couldn't wait to open my first delivery.

I am going to be honest, I am not impressed! Sure the pale pink box and minimal packing is a good thing, but the products inside left me a little cold. Granted perhaps the Detox idea was not the best one for me, but even still I felt slightly cheated.

One of the problems is one of the items I received was a face pack from Sanctuary. I have already received this from Latest in Beauty free samples which only costs me £1.50 for 3 items. Another item I received was a Glossy box labelled sleep mask,  I can't use those things at the best of times and certainly not when they are blazen with the company logo.

The other four items consisted of a full size lip balm from the American company Jason, containing bees wax and aloe. Then there is a travel size of Paul Mitchell hair conditioner, which moisturises, that's not too bad. A 30ml bottle of face tonic from Premae Skincare, and a 30ml bottle of Monu micro exfoliant for the face.

I don't know what it is, but I was left thinking is that it! I am hoping it is just the fact I got one of the last box from the month,as the web page shows more variety in the possibility, and there is nothing about the sleep mask. So I am hoping the new box is more dynamic and impressive. I will be fair and try three months worth of this box but unless there is a drastic improvement in what I receive I will only continue my BirchBox subscription. Which will be rather disappointing, as both companies advertise using various companies I love. The fact that I only recognise two names out of five in my box wasn't much upsetting as frustrating. Especially as the booklet accompanying the box does not give details of the manufactures, only skimming over the basics of each product and listing the price of each on their web page if you wish to purchase it.

I will try this products and report back on their results, but I don't know if I will maintain this box for any length of time as I am sure I can find something better for that amount of money.
