New Look New Shoes

I had to do it, use that 50% discount offer on New Look shoes that fell into my lap over the weekend. I have used New Look mail order once before for a dress and was happy enough with that so it was just a case of being sensible.

This time I shopped with my head not my heart and choose shoes I needed to add to my already extensive collection, seriously how many pairs of converse and black boots can one girl own! I knew I only had one pair of summer pumps so that had to be corrected, I also wanted to get a pair of brogues as I am missing that kind of shoe in my wardrobe.

The website was easy enough to use and I soon found a pair of powder pink plimsolls for the summer, the brogues were relatively easy as well a pair of coffee brown suede ones were soon purchased. The problem was a pair of khaki wedge heeled boots also some how fell into my basket, can't think how. Total of my splurge? £25 and some change and that was with the postage. Not bad for 3 pairs of shoes.

Anyway said shoes arrived today, and I couldn't wait to test them. The plimsolls are gorgeous and perfect for a warm spring day. The brogues were surprising light but the difference in size between them and the plimsolls was surprising, I almost could have gone the size smaller for these. But they will look really nice with some strong tailoring, although I think I regret not buying them in black, but I needed to get some colour into my footwear. Then we have the khaki boots, although the heel was smaller than I like the fit brilliantly and are so light I will find them easy to use even with my back and crutches.

All in all I am delighted with my purchases. the only down size is they came in soft packaging and no boxes, so I really have to invest in some proper shoe storage soon as I have a real issue with shoes everywhere. Ah well a girl just has to have shoes for every occasion doesn't she?
