As I said yesterday upon receipt of my Jolie box, mum all but fought me for the Yardley daisy sample, and she promised a test and verdict on return.
Now to be fair mum loves most Yardley fragrances, so I was expecting a bias report back. Her love of lavender and lily of the valley is legendary, but she also likes things like their lace perfumes. So if ever there was going to be a favourable report it would have come from her.
That said this morning mum applied the daisy perfume with high hopes. However ten minutes later I had a very disappointed mother. She described it as very earthy and heavy scented and she really didn't like it. We gave it a few hours as all perfumes develop with wear and skin temperature, and granted a faint floral scent came through, but no where near enough for her liking.
To give it a fair chance I applied some to myself as perfumes react differently on different people, but unfortunately the result was the same with out the floral undertones on me. So as far as this households is concerned it is not a positive report and Yardley should stick to their tried and tested perfumes. This one is more perfume de allotment rather than daisy.
