Today belongs to the servicemen past, preent and future, who protect us and enable us to live in freedom. For this reason even Twitter and Facebook campaigned for the 2 minutes silence to be obsevered and near enough achieved it. Just wish all the TV channels would be so concenous!
That said, we wear the poppies so we don't forget! So come the end of the day, don't just un pin your poppy till next year, instead forget to take it of, because these people work 365 days a year and at least deserve little bit of our attention. I am deliberatly not taking the poppy off my icon on either Facebook and Twitter, for this same reason.
For those more moved to do more, check out some of the twitter pages of our forces, you will find you can send a general or personal lettter to a memeber of the forces and even donate a parcel so one of them can have Christmas. even if you can't afford to donate a whole parcel they take monetary gifts to donate towards one.
What ever you do please don't forget, they never forget us.
