Well for all us motor fanatics it is going to be a busy weekend. There is Autocross at the O2 where I am heading tomorrow and there is Autosport at the NEC all weekend as well.
As I have yet to get to Autosport, I would love to hear how it goes, although I hear from others it often leaves a lot to be desired in organisation, it still sounds like fun. Up to yesterday I was still tempted to through caution to the wind and bomb up there on Sunday. However hearing the ominous weather reports, perhaps that may not be the wisest idea.
So I am heading off to Autocross in London. Far nearer to home and with multiple routes home if the snow hits. I am looking forward to the evening as it is the nearest I will get to see something like the x fighters that you see on TV. I will no doubt be amazed and awestruck by these people defying gravity and common sense. I am under no doubt I will end up feeling sick with nerves at some of these moves, but I see it like this. Some people love scary movies or roller coaster rides, I like fast and creative motor sports.
My only regret is the fact that the two events are on the same weekend so early in the year that the weather could prevent people getting from one to other. I would love to catch up with some mates at Autosport but it isn't going to happen. So where ever you are and which ever event you have planned at the weekend I hope you enjoy it. I know I will.
