The revamped birchbox

Yesterday it arrived, the first birchbox (was Jolie), and I couldn't mistake it. Bright bubblegum pink package, that certainly woke me up almost as well as the parcel delievery guy banging on the door.

When I opened it up, I won't lie I was disappointed with the new design of box. The old style Jolie box was black and classy, the new style is cardboard colour with bubblegum pink decoration. Even when I opened the box I was faced with a pink instead of black bag.  I am not a pink person so this jarred me a lot.

Anyway instead the contents looked a little short, compared to the other bags but I tried not to let that put me off. The contents was meant to reflect my personal profile, but I still ended up with a peppermint tea bag in there, mmm not sure about that. There was also a KMS volume spray, which is a good size and I can't wait to test it.A fresh sugar lip treatment, in rose,  which is unusual in both scent and texture, but I will happily give it a fair chance as it is meant to improve the texture and look of you lips. Then there was a Wei eye cream, this was a really small sample but I applied a little last night and the effects seemed to be really good However at £60 a pot I would need a lot of points from BirchBox before I buy it as that is a lot of money. Finally there is a Taaj hand cream. Again it had a really odd aroma, and initially felt tacky but over night it really does seem to have done what it claimed to, and my hands look and feel softer.

Over all the products were good but the size and quantity seemed a little reduced, I hope this is just  teething issue and they will return to the extensive boxes Jolie had. As for buying the products I probably will only buy the KMS as the only other product I really liked was £60 a pot. The only thing is to see how long the sample lasts for to see if it has value for money. The results from Wei products I have found to be very good, but the prices are very high for me at the moment.+
