We have a break through

So my belated birthday party was actually good for my health! That little idea we had about hot water bottles is really working. As long as I have a constant heat source against the injured lumbar area I am not spasming out and collapsing.

Excellent we have progress, but now we need to make it a practical solution. As no one can go round all day with a hot water bottle attached to their back, and the heat patches are not eccomical at £5 a day. So there has been an interesting call between doctor and patient today, fortunatly for me my doctor is very understanding and open to any suggestions. After a brief explaination and some geniuene medical check I am now on a mixture of cream that is prescibed for getting out and about, patches which I have to buy for driving, and my beloved hot water bottle for at home.

This may sound crazy but something came out of my discussion with the doctor, the muscles around my original injury are making the skin temperature dropped considerably so that anyone who dare touch it can feel it is icy. This is a classic sign of possiable torn muscles, something we will be able to either confirm or not when the scan results come in. But it is a major leap forward as it is enough to get me out and about more. What's more it means there is a way I can safely fo the drive to Birmingham for Top Gear Live in just over a week.

Hence from now on it is the major count down to the highlight of my year. Granted this year it is only one day instead of 4-10 days of madness. That said one day is better than no days and it gives me a target for next year. By next year I will be up to a week long party, this year it is asking too much, one day of show and one night of 40th party part 2 I think will be more than enough. Especially as we are stopping off for the cider and perry shop on the way home which is a two hour detour. We make this annual pilgramage to stock up as the end of our harvest collection, usually other things end up in the basket as well, but winter isn't winter without a pot of mulled cider available on the cold winter nights.

Anyway I deverse, today I am off in the car, yes me driving, to collect the new cream and hopefully the key to my new found freedom,.
